"Christian: Why do you wear Hijab? Muslim: Because Mary, the mother of Jesus, is my role model"

Mary did indeed appear to be wearing a Hijab.

Christian women are instructed to cover their head.

Corinthians 11:6 "For if a woman does not cover her head, she might as well have her hair cut off; but if it is a disgrace for a woman to have her hair cut off or her head shaved, then she should cover her head".

If the virgin Mary appears wearing a veil on all of her pictures, how can you ask me to sign on a Hijab ban law? (Roberto Maroni)...

If Mother of Jesus walked by right now would you be showing disrespect like this? Also if this was a photo of a NUN would you say lame?

"Christian: Why do you wear Hijab? Muslim: Because Mary, the mother of Jesus, is my role model"

Beard=he's a terrorist?

Wearing a scarf=she's oppressed?

Jesus had a beard, was he a terrorist? Mary wore a scarf? was she oppressed?

My Hijab allows me to limit what parts of my body people can see, its a statement of my freedom. My body is not for anyone's consumption, and using my Hijab I can enforce that. Please do not tell me my hijab limits my freedom.

"My Hijab is my dignity, my respect and my honour and i will never ever trade it for this temporary world" "Muslim women are not forced to wear Hijab. They choose to do that and you can make sure by asking any muslim woman."

"If a women is free to show her body, why shouldn't she be free to cover it?!!"

“The sun doesn’t lose its beauty when covered by the clouds. The same way your beauty doesn’t fade when being covered by Hijab”

"HIJAB is my identity ,my choice ,my right,my freedom ,and my beauty."

"We are beautiful. Wrapped up perfectly. Never ever doubt your hijab. It is your symbol, your love, your covering."

Muslims women are only covered when they are out or when around men that are not related. Other than that they don't cover at there homes or infront of there father grandfather brother nephews husband little kids women... So were not always covered ...

"Hijab is a symbol of modesty it includes the way a person walk, talks, looks and thinks, All of it should be done modestly and applies to both Men and Women. and its to protect yourself from evil eye. Islam is not only a religion but it is also a way of life and Hijab is a part of it." "“I don’t care what others say i wear my Hijab for the sake of ALLAH (Subanahu wa ta’ala)”" "It is not the cloth that oppresses the women, it is the illiterate mind.”

Remember this before you decide to act all islamophobic and decide to go al dramatic around a headscarf. Your nuns wear it, virgin mary wore it. You have no reason at all to make a fuss out of it. Its funny how you are okay with "love wins" and doing all disgusting kinds of filth with the same gender, its funny how you are okay with your little girl losing her virginity at the age of 17, its funny how you are okay with the clubs and bars being full all night. But you fear a HEADSCARF. A. HARMLESS. HEADSCARF. Seriously where are your brains people.

In Chapter 24 known as an-Nur (the Light), in verse 30, Allah commands Prophet Muhammad as follows: “Say to the believing men that: they should cast down their glances and guard their private parts (by being chaste). This is better for them.”

This is a command to Muslim men that they should not lustfully look at women (other than their own wives); and in order to prevent any possibility of temptation, they are required to cast their glances downwards. This is known as “hijab of the eyes”. Then in the next verse, Allah commands the Prophet to address the women:

“Say to the believing women that: they should cast down their glances and guard their private parts (by being chaste)…” This is a similar command as given to the men in the previous verse regarding “hijab of the eyes”.

This hijab of eyes is similar to the teaching of Jesus where he says, “You have heard that it was said by them of old time, you shall not commit adultery. But I say unto you, That whosoever looks on a woman to lust after her has committed adultery with her already in his heart.” So if you see a Muslim casting his/her eyes downwards when he/she is talking to a member of opposite sex, this should not be considered as rude or an indication of lack of confidence — he/she is just abiding by the Qur’anic as well as Biblical teaching. After “hijab of the eyes” came the order describing the dress code for women: “...and not display their beauty except what is apparent, and they should place their khumur over their bosoms...”

"Sometimes, people see covered Muslim women and they think of this as oppression. This is wrong. A Muslim woman is not oppressed, in fact, she is liberated. This is because she is no longer valued for something material, such as her good looks or the shape of her body. She compels others to judge her for her intelligence, kindness, honesty and personality. Therefore, people judge her for who she actually is. When Muslim women cover their hair and wear loose clothes, they are obeying the orders of their Lord to be modest, not cultural or social mores. Islam is a religion that holds women in high regard. Long ago, when baby boys were born, they brought great joy to the family. The birth of a girl was greeted with considerably less joy and enthusiasm. Sometimes, girls were hated so much that they were buried alive. Islam has always been against this irrational discrimination against girls and female infanticide."

Sister you have chosen the right choice, which Allah will never forget to reward you in this World and herafter. In sch Allah. This World is meaningless. May Allah give you ease and Sabr.
